The Public Safety Committee of Community Board 12-Manhattan is dedicated to promoting and enhancing safety and security within the vibrant neighborhoods of Washington Heights and Inwood. Committed to fostering a sense of well-being and trust among residents, this committee collaborates with local law enforcement agencies, community organizations, and city officials to address public safety concerns and develop proactive strategies for crime prevention.
Committee meetings facilitate communication and collaboration between residents, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to address monthly crime trends and patterns, strategies and initiatives, and advocating for the allocation of resources and services to enhance public safety.
