Attend a community event
Block parties, resource fairs, tabling at neighborhood festivals — the board shows up where the community already is. Come say hello, grab a flyer, and put faces to the board before you ever sit through a meeting.

Every committee meets monthly and the full board meets the fourth Tuesday of most months. All meetings are open to the public — no registration required. Join in person at 530 West 166th Street, 6th Floor, or via Zoom (link posted with each agenda).

Every meeting reserves time for residents to speak directly to committee members, agency reps, and applicants — before votes are taken. Sign up by emailing the committee chair or the office 24 hours ahead, or raise your hand at the start of the meeting. Speakers get about two minutes. Written comment is entered into the record any time.

Join as an appointed Board Member or as a Public Member of a single committee. Open to anyone who lives, works, or has a significant interest in the district — no prior government experience required. Board Members are appointed by the Manhattan Borough President; Public Member applications are open year-round.
